WELCOME,
My name is Filip Holub, I was born in Prague and I lived 20 years in a small village called Výžerky, yes.. your eyes are good! VÝŽERKY! When I finished secondary school I moved to Prague to get a job. My first job was in VÚBP - Výzkumný ústav bezpečnosti práce, v.v.i (Eng. Occupational Safety Research Institute). There I did everything in terms of IT, maintain servers, printers, and computers, installing and configuring servers, users support (50 Users), etc...
In March 2015, I started working as IT System Administrator for Provident Financial, member of second level support, Dynamics AX 2009, Lync, Exchange, AD, Sharepoint, and SQL.
I switched position last year(2016) in April and I became an IT Operations Administrator. I primarily work with MS SQL, Biztalk, maintain DEV environments and install, configure and maintain IIS applications. I am responsible for the high availability of our systems. I am also in charge of support for the Development department.
I created this blog about SQL Server on Linux because in my opinion is a step forward from Microsoft use SQL Server on another platform and in close future, it can be a big competitor for another platform.
UPDATE:
I am currently working at Commerzbank AG as Database Engineer MSSQL (Since 1st November 2017) !!!
Passed two certification exams and completed - MCSA: SQL 2016 Database Administration - Verify here (June 2019)
